The little
creature on the top left of this page is the Kotschy's Gecko, Cyrtopodion
kotschyi, a species commonly found in much of Cyprus and
other Mediterranean lands. It is typically up to 10cm long and
lives under stones or rocks. Unlike some other gecko species it
is not commonly found indoors. There is a
subspecies, Cyrtopodion kotschyi fitzingeri, that is
endemic to Cyprus, that is, it cannot be found anywhere else in
the world but Cyprus.
We have chosen to
use this little animal as our symbol. It may be small, but the
gecko plays a very important role in its ecosystem. We believe
that Psillakis Environmental Consultants, though small, have an
equally important part to play in the environmental consultancy
business.
