Computers- don't you just love' em?

My first computer was a BBC Acorn Electron, with an incredible 32K of RAM an early Apple Macintosh- those were the good old days a Commodore Amiga, the ultimate gaming machine- pity it wasn't good for anything else a big chunky and inoperable IBM given to me by my sadistic parents a Sinclair ZX Spectrum- at least it was in colour a big piece of junk a calculator the one I'm pretending to be working on now . I now have a PC running Windows, because I enjoy system crashes and losing data an Apple laptop, the one with the cool colours a big Cray supercomputer a calculator a piece of junk the one I use to find porn and read the sports pages which I mostly use for perusing this fine website designing things writing things working pretending to work reading the news reading the sports pages sending funny emails to all my friends flaming the people I dislike deleting junk mail downloading music looking at porn .

Learning to use a computer has made me more efficient in my work my day to day activities my long-distance communication with others my ability to search for information my ability to waste time while pretending to work my ability to steal music my ability to find cool or funny photos my ability to find porn , and I believe that computers and the Internet are important because they bring the world together they bring like people together there is so much useful information out there they have so much to offer humanity they make planning things much easier they help the world to run smoothly you can buy virtually anything from anywhere where else can we get the news for free? where else can we get music for free? where else can we look at porn without a shopkeeper telling us: Either buy that or leave my shop'? .
